Reflecting the UAE’s new found wealth from oil resources Dubai’s architecture and eclectic designs leave you in awe each time you visit this amazing holiday destination. The huge duty free shopping Malls are where you can shop till you drop and watch the rich sheiks and famous stars in the designer stores. Outside of the malls the theme parks provide rides to amaze.

Ramadan – a magical time of year

Ramadan is the Islamic calendar’s major holiday, during which, most Muslims fast between sunrise and sunset. This isn’t required for non-Muslims, as throughout the holy month there are plenty of restaurants open throughout the day.

When the sun sets, Dubai comes to life as families and friends head to Dubai’s elaborately decorated Ramadan tents to break their fasts with an Iftar (sunset feast) or Suhoor (early morning feast). Most hotels and restaurants also put on special Iftar feasts for their guests.

Dubai – Where Modern and old sit in harmony
Geographically situated on the southern shores of the Arabian peninsular, Dubai is the most popular holiday destination of the seven Emirates. The constituent emirates are Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Sharjah, Ras al-Khaimah, and Umm al-Quwain. Dubai used to be a humble fishing village but has grown into one of the greatest trading destinations on the planet.
Viewed from the air the reclaimed  man made Palms and the World are a wonder to behold. To fully appreciate the enormity of these structure they are best viewed from a helicopter trip or hot air balloon.

Dubai grew as it’s dependance on oil faded. It grew it’s airline (Emirates air) and invested heavily in it’s infrastructure to become the focal point between East and West, now a popular holiday and business destination. Dubai is two halves, split by Dubai Creek .The north is called Bur Dubai, while the south is Deira. Dubai is the home of the world’s tallest building, the Burj Kaleifa Dubai, almost too high to photograph effectively. The Burj Dubai is next to the largest mall in Dubai and the world’s largest choreographed musical  fountain system. The whole area around the Burj is amazing.
Dubai has over 45 shopping malls to visit and is tax free haven .Designer goods abound in the malls while other traditional items of clothing, spices and gold abound in the souks. Islamic culture is followed quite strictly in Dubai and you are expected to abide with the local traditions when outside the hotel compounds.

Relax Under Clear Skies in Dubai
Mosques and architure go hand in hand with your Dubai holiday. You can take a ride on a Dhow and see the busy old  trading port with the wooden boats arriving from  faraway African trading points. The desert, that is all around Dubai, is best appreciated with a trip on a 4 by 4 excursion. Going out into the desert at night for a bedouin experience allows you appreciate the twinkling stars that can only be viewed without light pollution. Dubai is famous for it’s nightlife which is based around the main hotels of Dubai.

There is so much to do in Dubai. The city is famous for it’s major sporting events ; horse racing, golf, squash, camel racing and power boat racing to name just a few. The sea in Dubai is lush and warm, ideal for water sports. If you prefer  more park based friendly water fun then you can try Aquaventure at Atlantis The Palm, or Wadi Wadi situated in front of the infamous Burj Al Arab hotel at Jumeriah beach. Keep your family enthralled by visiting the wildlife park at Khar Dubai wildlife sanctuary.

Attractions Of Dubai
Most hotels in Dubai are at the higher end of the market 4, 5 and 6 star luxury. On this trip or short stay or en route to Australasia it is well worth paying the extra to appreciate the Arabian opulence that abounds in Dubai. Food is of the highest quality with many of the world’s finest chefs based here. The summer months are very hot in Dubai so it’s worth bearing that in mind when booking your holiday. Having said that the summer months are when Dubai has its best deals available with many hotels offering free half board; and remember there are always the the malls, hotels and indoor ski slopes to keep you cool!
